A Milk and Cookies Party is such a cute theme for both a Valentine’s Day party for kids or a birthday party. Here you’ll find ideas for sweets (including links to some of my favorite cookie recipes), “station” ideas for the food table plus favor ideas. The printable party set featured in here is from Just a Little Sparkle and the adorable milk carton favor boxes are from Wendy’s Printable Party.
Milk and Cookies Party – Food Ideas:
Obviously in a milk and cookies party, you’re going to want to serve milk and cookies…but how do you decide what types of cookies to serve? Before finalizing your party menu, be sure to check with guests for any allergies. One of my favorite cookie recipes is Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip. Since my son is allergic to peanuts, we no longer keep any peanut products in the house. You could use the same basic recipe but instead of peanut butter chips use milk chocolate chips or white chocolate chips.
Another delicious cookie recipe is this one for Chunky Chocolate Pecan Cookies (featured in the Complete Cake Mix Magic recipe book). They are made from a white cake mix so the cookies are really light and soft. Again, since my son is allergic to nuts, I omit the pecans from the recipe.
For something completely different yet still in the cookie theme, these Cookie Dough Truffles are delicious. They taste just like cookie dough but without the egg and other products that you shouldn’t eat raw.
Another cookie dessert idea that kids love is this Marshmallow Cookie Cake plus it’s really easy to make too.
Milk and Cookies Party – Drink Ideas:
There are so many fun ideas when it comes to serving milk at a party. For a milk and cookies party, try setting up a “Dunkin’ Station” where guests can dunk cookie pops into individual mason jars or glasses filled with milk.
You can also have a “Syrup Station” where guests can use chocolate, strawberry or caramel syrup to add extra flavor to their milk. Be sure to leave some spoons in this area for mixing.
Milk and Cookies Party – Favors:
Every party needs a fun treat that the guests can take home. The obvious choice here would be to send guests home with a small bag of cookies using a cute tag like the “Valentine, You are the Milk to my Cookie” tag featured here.
Another fun idea is to use these printable milk cartons from Wendy’s Printable Party and fill them with a treat like Milk Duds.
I hope these ideas have inspired you to plan a fun Milk and Cookies party of your own! Now I’m left to wonder…who is going to help me eat all these cookies?

I LOVE this!! My little guys both have November b-days and we always spend way to much on food and drinks! This would be an awesome idea and I think the kids would love it!! I may get different colored frosting too and sprinkles so they can decorate the top of their cookies!
