Welcome to Movie Monday – a weekly series where we plan a Moms’ Night In around a popular movie. Today we’re featuring Ghosts of Girlfriends Past – a movie released in 2009 that features Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner. Connor, a womanizer who hides his fear of commitment by breaking hearts of women along the way, is reunited with his first love during his brother’s wedding weekend. As he tries to reconnect with his first love, Jenny, he is visited by ghosts of girlfriends past, present and future. These visits help him to see that if he continues his womanizing ways, he’ll end up alone and unhappy while the love of his life moves on with someone else. This movie is coming up on W Network this weekend – check your local listings.
Ghosts of Girlfriends Past Moms’ Night Ideas:
I’ve been looking for a reason to dig into the Halloween candy and I think a movie with the word “ghost” in the title is the perfect time to rip open that bag of mini chocolate bars! They call them “fun size” for a reason!
A simple but delicious idea would be to purchase (or bake) cupcakes with tall while icing and simply add on mini chocolate chips to make a ghost face. Instant ghost cupcakes to enjoy during your movie!
A fun activity idea for commercial breaks would be for each guest to share a humorous story about a date that didn’t exactly go as planned. I know you all have at least one funny story from a date! Maybe you embarrassed yourself in some way or you could share the moment you knew the guy was not the right one for you. If you feel like sharing a funny story with us, you can do so in the comments section below.

I’ve had too many horrible dates to count!
Can’t wait to move to a bigger home and host Moms Night events. Thanks for all the cool ideas!
