This post of Star Wars snack ideas is courtesy of our contributor Dawn of Revel and Glitter…May 4th is known as Star Wars Day and as a mom of boys, I am well versed in all things Star Wars and party. With the latest in the saga, Han Solo, releasing later this month, I wanted to create a fun way to celebrate both!
Inspired by these forks, I bring you Wookie Cookie Dough and Han Churro dessert parfaits! If you know my blog, you know I love a clever pun…
I’m so excited about the new movie, especially finding out how Han meets his forever partner in crime, Chewbacca. So, creating a few parfaits based on my favorite characters seemed like a great idea!
Star Wars Snack Ideas – What You’ll Need:
- 9 oz clear tumbler cups
For Wookie Cookie Dough Parfaits:
- chocolate wafer cookies, crushed
- chocolate pudding
- SMASHMALLOW snacking marshmallows in Cookie Dough
- chocolate shavings or sprinkles for garnish
For Han Churro Parfaits:
- Cinnamon Bun OREO cookies, crushed
- vanilla pudding
- ground cinnamon
- SMASHMALLOW snacking marshmallows in Cinnamon Churro
- cinnamon baking bits, chopped, for garnish
Stir in a small sprinkle of cinnamon to your vanilla pudding, taste, then add more accordingly. A little cinnamon goes a long way.
To make your parfaits, layer first crushed cookies, pudding, and top with respective marshmallows and garnish. Finish with fork.
Turn it into pre-movie watching fun with friends as a parfait-making party! This table is easy to put together for any intergalactic soiree.
I’m not a fan of using a lot of licensed products; I like to have a few pieces to set the scene and use neutral color pieces to round everything out. This is a great way to save some money on your party, licensed products are expensive.
Set the scene with black butcher paper and star shapes. I used this set but you can also use star confetti, available in any party store section.
These plates from Geese & Gander are a must for any space themed party.
Striped paper cups and metallic straws are a score from Target.
I love to use ceramic muffin pans to hold toppings and garnishes; it helps you keep an eye out when it is time to refill.
I hope you have been inspired to celebrate Star Wars Day and the release of the latest movie. How do you celebrate all things Star Wars?
