Party Like A Rock Star – Invitations
If you are looking to create your own invitations, consider creating a backstage pass invitation and sending it along with a neck lanyard for the children to wear their passes at the party. These are really easy to make using this free template (2-sided invite), a single hole punch and a laminating machine.
Your guests could be invited to come dressed in their favorite rock star outfit and you could award a prize for best dressed.

Party Like A Rock Star – Decorations
At your local dollar store you’re likely to find small disco balls that you can hang around the party room. You could also hang up posters of your child’s favorite rock star or create a banner using streamers and old CD’s.
A red carpet leading up to the entrance to your party is a fun idea. You could take pictures of the “red carpet arrivals” and include these in the thank you cards after the party. If you have access to a fun rock star life size cutout, this would be an excellent addition to your red carpet.

Party Like A Rock Star – Food
A wide variety of appetizers would be a great option for a rock star party. Here are a few of my favorites. You could give your food fun names such as:
- Beiber Bites
- Gaga Guacamole
- Rockin’ Nachos
- Drumsticks (pretzel sticks or chicken wings)
For dessert, you could make cupcakes with gold edible stars as decorations.
