A fun intro to family movie night is to play movie charades! All of these charades are either movie titles or famous characters. Remember that charades is acting only (silent acting) so the player that is acting out the charade can’t talk or sing to try to get the players on their team to guess the correct answer.

For this free printable, just print, cut along the dotted lines and place the charades into a bucket.

To play the movie charades game, split the party group into 2 separate teams. Each team takes a turn choosing an actor. The actor pulls a charade from the bucket and has a set amount of time to try to act it out and have his/her team guess the correct answer. You’ll need some sort of timer to keep track of time. If the player’s team guesses correctly, they win a point. If they don’t guess correctly before time runs out, the other team gets one guess for the right answer. If the other team guesses correctly, they get one point.

The other team then gets their turn to choose and actor and try to guess a charade like in the steps above.
