While planning your Husband Appreciation Day activities, be sure to keep his interests in mind. You may not be a fan of the outdoors but if he loves it then a day outdoors may be your perfect plan.

Husband Appreciation Day Ideas:
Make him breakfast in bed with his favorite breakfast foods or some heart shaped pancakes.
Take a trip to a local museum he enjoys like a history, car or sports museum.
Take him out for a fun activity like go kart racing.
Write him a card and include a list of all the things you appreciate about him.
Cook him a special meal and have a romantic candlelit dinner at home.
Take him out to dinner to his favorite restaurant.
Recreate your first date. Show your husband appreciation by recreating some old memories.
Take him out fishing.
Plan a scavenger hunt for him at his favorite store – the prize could be a 5 minute shopping spree with a gift card you purchased in advance (5 minutes should be plenty of time to pick out a great treat since he spent so long looking around the store for scavenger hunt items).
Take him out golfing, mini golfing or to a driving range.
Take him out for a hike.
Plan a fun sports game at home like hockey with mini hockey nets, laundry basket basketball, ultimate Frisbee in the backyard – set up a concession stand with his favorite snacks.
Take him out to a movie of his choice or surprise him by arranging the theatre to play his favorite movie for a private screening (many movie theaters can make arrangements to play a special movie in their least busy time of the day).
Go out swimming to a local pool or lake.
Go for a drive out in the country and surprise him with a special picnic you hid in the trunk.
Go to a local park to play his favorite sport: basketball, soccer, baseball, football, etc.
Take him out to eat to a sports pub and bring along some sports trivia questions you prepared – for each answer he gets right he can be given a raffle ticket to a secret prize.
Make a trip to the zoo.
Take him out for a paintball adventure.
Take him out to a comedy club.
Take him out to a karaoke bar and surprise (or slightly embarrass) him by singing him a tune or call him up on stage for a duo performance.
Go to a local beach or park and have a sandcastle building competition.
Fly kites at the park.
Go canoeing or rent a boat for the day.
Create him special love coupons that he can save and cash in later.
Spend a night at a bed & breakfast retreat.
Take him for a hot air balloon ride.
Think of an activity or a place that he’s talked about going to in your city but still hasn’t been to and then take him there.
Check your local arena for a special event you could take him to like a concert or sporting event.
Plan a special movie night at home with all of his favorite treats.
Take him out to the casino.
Go horseback riding.
Go camping for the night – if the weather in your area is still too cold, plan a camping night in your basement complete with camp food, summer camp games and scary camp stories.

Transform one of the rooms in your house to a special “man cave” for him – either just for the day or as a permanent room for him – and stock the room with his favorite books, magazines, snacks and drinks.
Have a water balloon or water gun fight at the park. Any husband that is young at heart will enjoy this husband appreciation activity.
Plan a special game night at home with some surprise door prizes.
Arrange for a special cooking lesson at a local restaurant.
Plan your own pub crawl for him with appetizers at one restaurant, supper at a 2nd location and drinks at a 3rd location.
