For this recipe, I used Smuckers Microwaveable Hot Fudge (334ml bottle) but any jar of hot fudge (around the same size) will work just fine.

For this recipe, I used Smuckers Microwaveable Hot Fudge (334ml bottle) but any jar of hot fudge (around the same size) will work just fine.
Ingredients
  • Brownies:
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 334ml jar of hot fudge ice cream topping
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Frosting:
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup heavy cream (35%)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Brownies:
  2. Preheat oven to 350F.
  3. Line a 9" x 9" baking pan with parchment paper.
  4. In a large bowl, beat together butter & sugar until smooth.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Stir in hot fudge and vanilla.
  7. Combine all-purpose flour with baking powder then stir well to mix.
  8. Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
  9. Stir in chocolate chips.
  10. Pour into baking pan.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
  12. Frosting:
  13. In a medium pot, add sugar, heavy cream and butter.
  14. Bring to a boil over medium heat (stirring constantly).
  15. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until they are melted.
  16. Pour frosting over baked brownies as soon as brownies come out of the oven.
  17. Let cool completely before slicing.
