Have I mentioned how much I love summer? I love the warm weather, the outdoor activities, the BBQ’s, vacations, ice cream…I just love everything to do with summer! I enjoy being outside but my skin is so sensitive to the sun that I really have to be careful to lather on the sunscreen and cover up or my skin will become as red as a lobster. That’s certainly not an attractive look when I’m trying to enjoy wearing all the skirts I’ve had stored away during the winter! Thanks to grUVywear – I can block out some of those harmful rays from the sun.

My son has sensitive skin like mine so we’re always being extra careful when taking him outside. He absolutely loves the water and loves being outside. We recently found a splash pad park in our city and now it’s one of our favorite places to go (we’ve already been there 3 times this week!).

I was lucky enough to be asked to review a grUVywear swimsuit for my son. They provide UV protective swim wear that offers a UPF of 50+, blocking over 98% of the sun’s harmful rays. It arrived in the mail a couple of days ago and let me tell you…it is cute! I appreciate that it has longer sleeves and shorts to help protect my son from the damaging rays of the sun. The outfit we received is a two piece outfit and the shirt portion is long enough that I don’t have to worry about it bunching up and exposing his belly. This is a high quality product that I would recommend to others. They really do pay attention to the little details when designing these swim wear products – the inside tag even has a “I Belong To” tag for you to write on. Cute right?!

I’ve been checking out their website and notice that they also sell protective hats (with the longer back on them to help protect the back of the neck from the sun’s rays), super cute headbands and even adult sized swimsuits.
