Planning a LEGOLAND California Trip With Undercover Tourist

This post is courtesy of our contributor Michelle…My sons love LEGOs, I mean really love LEGOs. They have the movies and about a billion LEGO pieces (at least it looks like a billion when they have them all spread out on the floor). Naturally they were very excited about our recent trip to LEGOLAND California – a wonderful sponsored post activity with UndercoverTourist.com. It had been almost 6 years since our last visit and, based on the latest television commercials, there have been several additions to the theme park. To be sure we saw all the latest sights; I created a trip plan using some features available at Undercover Tourist. Did you know that Undercover Tourist is now covering southern California attractions?

The Undercover Tourist Experience

Undercover Tourist is a great source to purchase and plan your trip to the most popular theme parks in Orlando and now Southern California. I started our trip plan with the purchase of our discount tickets. I found the ordering process quick and easy to navigate. I signed up for an Undercover Tourist account, which allowed me to “favorite” and save attractions, videos, blog posts and tickets for later reference. I can also track my order history for easy reference. With our e-tickets, we were able to skip the ticket lines once we arrived at the theme park.

Since my youngest son is 4 and my oldest son is 14, I wanted to be sure I knew which rides we could all ride as a family beforehand. Unfortunately, the Undercover Tourist Things to do List and Touring Plan are not currently available for LEGOLAND California. I hope they will be added soon as it looks like a great trip planning feature. So instead, I reviewed the list of attractions on the LEGOLAND California website which I found very helpful. We knew that we wanted to be sure to visit Miniland USA, Star Wars Miniland, Castle Hill, Imagination Zone and Pirate Shores.

On the Undercover Tourist blog, you can read tips for planning your vacation, read the latest news about park renovations and new attractions, access free printables for family fun and more.

Although we do not live too far from the San Diego area, we wanted to make our trip a little weekend getaway. Undercover Tourist has a nice Where To Stay feature which I found useful in determining which local city we’d like to stay in overnight.

I found Undercover Tourist to be a great source for discount theme park tickets. I plan on utilizing the newly added trip planning features for our upcoming trip to Universal Studios Hollywood. On the Things To Do page you can see all of the attractions that you may want to check out while at the park. I love the Touring Plans tips including things like which attractions and shows to check out earlier in the day due to their popularity.

Are you planning a trip to LEGOLAND California or other Southern California or Orlando theme park soon? Check out Undercover Tourist! Be sure to visit our LEGOLAND California travel post to hear about the fabulous time we had in the theme park!
