I want to start by letting you know that this is not a sponsored post. I did not receive any sort of compensation for this review. I’m simply sharing my thoughts on the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas because I believe that service as great as this deserves recognition!

My husband and I recently celebrated our third wedding anniversary in the same city we were married in – Las Vegas. This trip was very different though because we brought along our two year old son. For us, traveling with kids brings an entirely new set of priorities when booking a hotel. What we wanted in a Las Vegas hotel was:

  • a hotel that isn’t also a casino
  • a completely non-smoking hotel
  • a small kitchen in the room since our son has a food allergy
  • close proximity to Las Vegas Blvd. (Las Vegas Strip)
  • a 5-star, affordable family-friendly resort

The Trump International Hotel Las Vegas exceeded all of our expectations!

We were greeted with hospitality the moment we arrived at the hotel and everyone (doormen, shuttle drivers, housekeeping, reservations, etc.) were all so pleasant to deal with.

Trump International Hotel Las Vegas – Rooms:

Our room was beautiful! Now if only I could redesign my house to have a bathroom like this one! The large bathroom had a separate room for the shower and another separate area for the toilet. It had a large jet tub, double sinks and a TV right in the mirror!

Trump International Hotel Las VegasThe large bedroom and living area included:

  • a king-sized bed
  • a computer desk, chair and WiFi
  • flat screen television
  • plenty of closet and drawer space
  • a small kitchenette with a fridge, stove top, microwave and dishes (you just have to call to ask them to bring up the dishes you’ll need during your stay – they’ll even bring you dish soap upon request)

Sometimes the little things make a big difference like the staff that brought my son crayons and a coloring book for the room or all of the hangers in the closet. I know it is minor – but I love having plenty of hangers for my clothes in a hotel!

Trump International Hotel Las Vegas – Pool:

The hotel includes a large fitness area, fitness classes and a pool with plenty of seating areas. Right off the pool area is a small cafe perfect for light snacks and beverages.

You can choose from lounge chairs, daybeds or even private cabanas.

When we went down to the pool we were given a free daybed since the pool would be closing in a couple of hours. The pool staff was great and offered to move umbrellas to have more shade for our son. They also went into the cafe to bring us ice cold water in plastic glasses with lids and straws so that my son could have his own drink. All of this without us having to ask – they were just there and happy to help.

Trump International Hotel Las Vegas – Housekeeping:

My son was a little off of his schedule there so he was up at 6am every morning. This meant that he’d start his afternoon nap around 10:30am everyday. For this reason, we had the “do not disturb” light on the door each morning. When we’d leave around 1pm each day, we’d put on the call light for housekeeping. On two of the five days we were there, housekeeping had not made it to our room by the time we came back for supper. We called the desk to let them know that we were missed and they sent someone up right away plus they waved the resort fee for our entire stay. They didn’t have to do that but we appreciated them doing something to apologize for the slight inconvenience.

If you’ll be staying in the Las Vegas area, I’d highly recomment the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas! It is just steps away from the Fashion Show Mall so it is convenient for shopping and restaurants. We had a great stay in the hotel and we would definitely stay there again.
