This Sonic The Hedgehog Party is filled with creative ideas for DIY party decorations, party games for kids, party food, desserts, favor ideas and more! A fun party theme idea for your little video game fans. I created this party for Birthday In A Box so many of the party supplies used here you’ll find in their shop. I’ll share all the party photos with you here but you’ll want to visit my full article on Birthday In A Box for even more fun ideas & tutorials. Ready for a load of party photos? Let’s race right into it!
Sonic The Hedgehog Party:
This Sonic The Hedgehog wall decal was so big that I had to create a special backdrop for it using 4 foam poster boards covered in blue wrapping paper. It makes quite the statement behind the party table, doesn’t it? There’s no confusion on what party theme this is with that huge Sonic staring down at you! I stuck with a lot of the classic Sonic colors for this party like blue, red, yellow and gold. I also incorporated some Chaos Emeralds with some plastic gems I found at the local craft store.
Now onto the party food! Golden Rings are a big part of the Sonic The Hedgehog game so I had to have some of those on the table – mini donuts! Other than the plastic “chaos emeralds” decorating the table, I also added some Ring Pop gummy candies in a jar. For cupcakes I simply added blue icing & sprinkles to some cupcakes – could add blue colored coconut to look like “fur”. I made some marshmallow popcorn balls in yellow and blue then added some chocolate covered candies in a jar (red, yellow and blue).
Sonic The Hedgehog Party Table:
For the party table, I used a plain blue plastic table cover and added a gold table runner. I used the plastic chaos emeralds here to further decorate the table. I finished it off with Sonic-themed paper plates and cups with cute Sonic The Hedgehog activity placemats for the kids.
Sonic The Hedgehog Party Activities:
For the party games, I made a Prize Punch and hid Ring Pops (chaos emeralds) inside each cup. Visit the Birthday In A Box article to see how to make this Prize Punch game. I also created a Sonic The Hedgehog party photo booth for the kids to pose in for pictures. These pictures make a great addition to the Thank You cards you send after the party.
Sonic The Hedgehog Party Favors:
Guests always love the favor bags after the party! I stuck with the Sonic The Hedgehog party theme here and went with “chaos emeralds” (Ring Pops and gummy Ring Pops), Sonic water bottle, mini Sonic notebooks and chocolate bars covered in personalized Sonic The Hedgehog wrappers from Birthday In A Box.
