Mickey Mouse Party

Did you know that Mickey Mouse was first introduced in 1928? He’s been on quite a few adventures over the years and these can all be used for party inspiration. The possibilities are endless! Since we’re big fans of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, we’re going to focus our ideas around that theme.

Mickey Mouse Party – Invitations:

When planning your Mickey Mouse party, you’ll want to start with a fun invitation inviting your guests to your clubhouse to celebrate. Your invitation could include fun phrases like:

  • We’ve Got Ears, Say 3 Cheers for the Birthday Boy!
  • To make the birthday party appear, you have to say the magic words: Meeska Mooska {Child’s Name}!

If making your own invitations, you could call your RSVP section “Roll Call” just like in the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse intro song.

Mickey Mouse Party – Decorations:

Mickey Mouse has 4 basic colours: red, white, black and yellow. You could incorporate these colours through balloons, tablecloths, paper lanterns and tableware.

Mickey Mouse Party

A fun idea is for all of the guests to wear mouse ears. Disney Junior has a free template for you to make your own Mickey or Minnie Mouse ears.

You can create your own Mickey decor by using 3 styrofoam balls (1 large, 2 small), spray painting them black, gluing the 2 smaller ones on the top for ears and then either hanging these from the ceiling or using a stick to make these into centerpiece decor in pots.

Mickey Mouse Party – Activities:

Oh Toodles! Toodles is a special helper to Mickey Mouse and his crew. Toodles appears in each episode with special Mouska Tools that can be used to solve challenges that the crew needs to overcome.

For a fun party activity, you could assign the party guests with a problem to solve like:

  • building a special project together
  • finding the missing presents
  • successfully making their way across an obstacle course

You could then provide the team with a few special “Mouska Tools” to use in order to get the job done. Let them know that each Mouska Tool can only be used once so they’ll have to think the problem through before they use each one.

We had a lot of fun putting together this Mickey Clubhouse Hot Air Balloon for a photo booth area at the party.

Mickey Mouse Party – Food:

What’s the first food that comes to mind when thinking of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? It’s a tie for me! I think of both clubhouse sandwiches and hot diggity dogs! Both of these would be excellent food choices for your Mickey Mouse Party.

Disney Junior has more fun party food ideas like this Toodles pizza.

Mickey Mouse Party – Dessert:

For a simple party treat, all you need is a bag of regular Oreo’s and a bag of mini Oreo’s. Simply use a dot of icing on the lower half of each mini Oreo and put them at the top of the regular Oreo to look like Mickey’s face & ears!

Mickey Mouse Party – Treat Bags:
