Mega Bloks® Lil’ Princess Party

We recently received the Mega Bloks® Lil’ Princess set to review during a mini Lil’ Princess (& Prince) Party.  In this package, we received:

• Lil’ Princess 3-Story Enchanted Castle
• Lil’ Princess Magic Carriage
• Lil’ Princesses (an assortment of 10 including Princess Dewdrop, Princess Sunray, and Princess Starlight)

My son is 16 months old so he’s at a perfect age for enjoying Mega Bloks® toys. We invited a few of his little friends over to our home to put these toys to the test while enjoying a mini princess & prince party.

Each  Mega Bloks® Lil’ Princess comes with 1 princess, 1 unicorn and 2 Mega Bloks® pieces. The little princesses are really cute and have a little tiara that pops up when placed on a Mega Bloks® piece.

The Mega Bloks® Lil’ Princess 3-Story Enchanted Castle also  comes with a princess and unicorn. There are 3 different ways you can build the castle to create new designs for your little fairytale. It also comes with a large sheet of stickers to further decorate the exterior and interior of the castle. Once your castle’s interior design is complete, you can then place in your additional furniture pieces like a bed, chairs, table and more!

The Mega Bloks® Lil’ Princess Magic Carriage comes with a princess, unicorn, a few of Mega Bloks® pieces and of course the cute carriage. This carriage also turns into a gazebo, providing more ways to enjoy this toy.  The Lil’ Princess Magic Carriage was a raffle prize for one lucky princess or prince at the party.

The Mega Bloks® pieces in this set are cute & fit for a princess (or prince!) with their unique glitter designs. I like that the pieces are all big enough that they don’t pose a choking hazard for little ones. They are also durable and can hold up to the wear and tear that a toddler will put them through.

For our princess & prince party, I wanted to set up something that incorporated the colors pink, blue and silver. Here are a few pictures of our party.

Guests were served mini pink cupcakes, pink lemonade (with candied lemons on the side), tiara cookies with edible silver dust and hot artichoke & spinach dip. Here’s a great recipe for sugar cookies that will hold their shape when baked. I replaced the vanilla extract with almond extract and they were delicious! I iced these cookies with meltable chocolate wafers.

I wanted to send each child home with a little princess or prince package of his/her own. Inside each care package was a Mega Bloks® Lil’ Princess, magical wand (for the girls), foam prince sword (for the boys), princess fruit snacks, stickers, tiara cookies, dragon finger puppets, princess bubble wands, a Mega Bloks® coupon and a foam tiara with their name written on it with silver glitter.

My son had a lot of fun with the Mega Bloks® Lil’ Princess set. I think it’s a great toy for kids in the age group of 1 to 5 years old. It’s a cute & durable set that I’m sure all of the kids will enjoy for years to come!
