This Kirby Cake Pops post is courtesy of our contributor Deanna…Who else has a bag full of Easter candy? My son scored big from the Easter Bunny this year, so we have a ton of jelly beans, m&ms, and all sorts of chocolate left over. Why not get some use out of them? So I bring you a super easy Kirby cake pop using that leftover Easter candy!
Kirby Cake Pops – What You’ll Need:
- Cake pop dough
- Cake pop sticks
- Pink chocolate
- White chocolate
- Blue chocolate
- Black edible marker
- Red edible marker
- M&Ms (any color)
- Red jelly beans
- Toothpick
- Cake pop stand or Styrofoam block
Kirby Cake Pops – Steps:
First roll your cake pops and slightly flatten them so they’re not a ball. Dip your stick into the melted chocolate and then into the cake pop. My cake pop dough was a little dry so I had to fill in the cracks with chocolate.
Next stick the M&M candies into the sides of the cake pop using chocolate to hold them in. These will be Kirby’s arms.
Dip the entire cake pop into the pink chocolate and stick into your cake pop stand to let dry.
Once the cake pops are almost dry, but the chocolate is still tacky add your jelly beans.
Take your edible ink marker in black and draw on Kirby’s mouth and eyes.
Then with your red marker add in some cheeks.
With your toothpick, add eye details using your white and blue chocolate.
And that’s it!
