Have you made something special for your Valentine yet? There is still time! This homemade Valentine’s Day gift is easy to make and you probably already have the supplies you need at home. In fact, it’s so easy that your kids can create some as well! For this project, you’ll need a black marker, red paper, scissors, tape and ribbon.
Homemade Valentine’s Day Gift – Reasons Why I Love You:
The first step of this project is to cut hearts out of red paper. They don’t have to all be the same size or shape – you can mix them up a bit for a variety. You’ll then write on the first heart “Reasons Why I Love You”. This will be the heart taped at the top of the ribbon. On the rest of the hearts, you can then write all the other reasons why you love your special Valentine or things about them that make them special. Here are some suggestions to help you get started:
- Your cheerful smile
- Your playfulness
- Your sense of humor
- Your caring nature
- Your support through difficult times
- For all the special ways you make me smile
- For all the delicious home cooked meals
- Your warm snuggles
- Your joyful laughter
- Your thoughtfulness
- Your willingness to help others
- Your dedication to our family
- Your spontaneity
- Your openness to try new things
- Your creativity
- For remembering birthdays and anniversaries
- For all the ways you make me feel special
- For all the adorable homemade gifts you make for me
- Because you have a way of lighting up a room just by being in it
- For always listening
- Your generousity
- For giving me so many good memories
- Your patience
Once you’ve written on several hearts, tape them onto a ribbon and then hang this from your special Valentine’s bedroom door frame. It’s such a special treat to leave for someone to discover on Valentine’s Day!
