Holiday Video Greeting

I love writing cards – Christmas cards, birthday cards, thank you cards…I love all of them! In the past, I’ve always sent handwritten Christmas cards with the same sort of greeting written in each. Now that I have a child, I feel like I want to do something more personal to show our friends and family what we’ve been up to for the year. Although I know my son is absolutely adorable, I doubt that friends & family want me to send them a printed photo album along with my cards each year. Geesh, I don’t even have my own photo albums organized yet! Also, the form letters that some people send with their cards are just…well…boring. Sorry to those of you who send form letters – I’m sure yours are the exception and that yours are filled with humorous and delightful stories of your year! When Sasha of Silver Frame Productions approached me with an idea of a holiday video greeting, I jumped at the chance!

How To Create Your Holiday Video Greeting:

Creating your own holiday video greeting is really easy to do!

Step 1 – Choose The Song You’d Like:

• 12 Days of Christmas
• Deck the Halls
• Hark the Herald angels Sing
• Joy to the World
• Silent Night
• We Wish you a Merry Christmas

Step 2 – Think of colours you’d like to include. You can leave this all up to Sasha and she can pick something she thinks compliments your photos.

Step 3 – Email 10-12 of your favourite photos from the year.

Step 4 – Write down a few captions for your photos or special holiday messages you’d like to send to your family and friends. Just a few words for each photo is great. You could also let the photos speak for themselves and simply add a holiday greeting at the end of the video.

That’s it! Sasha will then put together your holiday greeting and she’ll email you a draft when it’s complete so you can request any final adjustments.

Once you have your final video, you can upload it to Facebook, upload it to YouTube, email to friends and family…there are so many options for sharing!
