Fisher-Price OVERjoyed Campaign Launching Soon

As many of you know, I was recently chosen to be a Fisher-Price Play Ambassador and I couldn’t be more excited about it! This month I get to give you a sneak peek into a new Fisher-Price OVERjoyed campaign that will be launching soon.

Fisher-Price OVERjoyed Campaign:

This campaign will be celebrating the real joys of motherhood and they want you to be a part of it! They will soon be launching a website where mothers can share a photo with a one-line caption to summarize the special moment. Real mothers (yes, like you!) can view photos from other moms, share their own photos, and join together to share the real moments of motherhood.

While I was pregnant I read all the pregnancy and delivery books, I attended classes with my husband and I talked to friends who had recently had kids. I felt like I had it all under control! Did I feel like becoming a new mother would be easy? No. Was I incredibly excited to meet my little guy and experience all the joys of motherhood? You bet!

My pregnancy was wonderful and I enjoyed every second of it. I was rarely sick, I was cozy in my maternity gear, I loved having my husband always put my shoes on my feet – pregnancy was great!

Unfortunately, I experienced some complications near the end of my pregnancy that I wasn’t expecting. That’s when I first started feeling OVERwhelmed. Having issues with high blood pressure wasn’t something that I thought I’d go through.

To make a very long story short, my healthy baby boy was born through an emergency c-section. It’s true ladies – it is love at first sight! We were OVERwhelmed with emotions and OVERjoyed to finally meet our beautiful little boy.

I should add a second caption on the photo that says I’m OVERdue for a shower!

Becoming a new mother can be a very OVERwhelming experience but I’ve found that there are so many people willing to lend a helping hand. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from your local clinic, your family or your closest friends.

My son is now 20 months old and we’ve experienced many other OVERjoyed and OVERwhelming moments with him. I look forward to sharing new stories with you each month and hearing about yours over on the special Fisher-Price OVERjoyed campaign page (which will be launched shortly – I’ll let you know as soon as it’s up and running).
