These easy football party ideas are courtesy of our contributor Dawn…Football season will be in full swing soon and today I’m sharing a few easy football party ideas perfect from now through the Super Bowl.
Goal Post Cupcake Toppers
These DIY cupcake toppers made with paper straws are a little time-consuming but score a touchdown in presentation!
What You’ll Need:
- white paper straws (mine are from Sweets & Treats)
- football buttons
- x-acto knife
- cutting mat
- metal ruler
- Each goal post is made up of 4-2” straw pieces. Use the 45° line to trim the straw ends at the angle.
- Hot-glue the pieces together then hot-glue on the football buttons. My buttons had no shanks so if yours do, be sure and remove them first.
I couldn’t believe my luck when I came across these football glasses at Dollar Tree. They are quite large and perfect for cold beverages from beer to soda. To make the details stand out, I painted in with a white paint marker.
My foam finger straw toppers are from Target and sadly, no longer available. Check out this foam finger template from Every Day Dishes and make your own straw toppers.
The AstroTurf coasters are also no longer available, but you can make your own version; Google ‘AstroTurf coasters’ for lots of DIY versions.
