This DIY Disney Autograph Books post is courtesy of our contributor Chantelle of Dolled Up DesignLast February we had the pleasure of visiting Disneyland for the first time. It wasn’t my husband and I’s first Disney park experience, but it was our first time with kids in tow and it was a blast! To see the parks and feel the magic through their little eyes was so much more than I could have imagined. Our days and nights were definitely different then when we travelled as a couple, but we got to experience all kinds of new and exciting things thanks to the kids.

When we travelled without the kids, one Disney experience we hadn’t really taken part in was meeting the characters. We weren’t keen on using our precious ride time to wait in line to collect autographs and to take photos with other people in costume. When you have a princess obsessed daughter, however, your priorities shift and you are more than willing to wait in line to capture moments like this…

Our first morning in the park, I booked a character meal with Minnie & Friends at The Plaza Inn Restaurant. I knew there would be lots of great opportunities to get photos of the kids with the characters and even though I still wasn’t sold on the whole autograph idea, I decided I better be prepared just in case it was something the kids were interested in.

I spent a bit of time browsing Disney autograph book ideas and decided I wanted something that would incorporate both the signatures and the photos I hoped to take of the kids. To keep things inexpensive, I used a basic 5”x7” plastic sleeve photo album from Walmart and designed autograph cards that I could print off and slip inside each of the sleeves. Once home, I could then print off the photos and intersperse them with the signatures in the album.

As a finishing touch, I punched a hole through the back cover of our album to tie a ribbon through and attach our black Sharpie marker too. This kept things ready and easily accessible in my backpack for when we did meet a new character.

To print your own autograph cards, please choose from the Disneyland and Walt Disney World files below. Make sure to print the file to size and I recommend printing on a heavier paper, such as 100lb stock.

I absolutely love the finished album now that I have printed off the photos and put them in alongside the character’s signatures. It was a cheap and easy souvenir and will be something I will repeat on our next trip to the parks. Just going through and selecting the photos I wanted to print was enough to send me into Disney withdrawal and now I am anxious to begin planning for our 10 year anniversary trip to Disney World in 2017.

  6. Wow! These are amazing. Would you consider a book for Disneyland Paris 2018? We’re going in April and these templates are perfect for what we have in mind. Also would it be possible to make the Minnie and Mickey name boxes editable?

  9. Thank you so much for you 2018 dated autograph pages. We see so many princess pages but yours are appropriate for both genders and for any character. They printed beautifully. We leave for Disney today- the first trip for our 8 year old. Again, thank you so much for a professionally done job and for giving us something to be treasured.
