Are you ready for Halloween? We have a costume picked out (we actually have three so we’re going to have to find some more parties to attend!) but I haven’t started shopping for candy yet. I can’t buy candy too early or I eat it all before Halloween arrives. Why does chocolate have to be so delicious?! Have you been enjoying the Disney Junior Canada Halloween episodes? They’ve been on every weeknight at 6pm ET (continuing all month long) and they are leading up to a Halloween marathon of episodes on October 30th & 31st. That’s right – two full days of Halloween specials to enjoy with your little ones! Which character is your child most excited to see in costume?
Carving The Halloween Pumpkin:
Last year I carved a Jake & The Never Land Pirates pumpkin using a free template on Disney Junior Canada. This year I think I’ll attempt to make Stuffy from Doc McStuffins. There are plenty of carving templates to choose from on the Disney Junior Canada website in the Halloween section. Who is your child’s favourite character?
Halloween Fun on Disney Junior Canada:
The Disney Junior Canada site is filled with fun activity ideas for Halloween. There are colouring pages, online games with some of your favourite characters, craft ideas, pumpkin carvings templates and more.
We used some of the freebies plus some chalkboard washi tape to make this Halloween countdown calendar.
Exciting New Contest!
When we were in California earlier this year, we had the opportunity to attend the Disney Junior Live on Stage show playing at Disney’s California Adventure. My husband, son and I all loved it! It was full of the characters we know and love, catchy tunes and so many cool special effects. Disney really knows how to put on a show!
Want to see a Disney show with your family? Disney Junior Canada has an exciting contest running until November 13th, 2013 where you & your family could win a trip to Toronto to see Disney On Ice presents Princesses & Heroes! You can enter daily between now and November 13th plus earn 25 bonus entries by watching Belle appear on Sofia The First on Sunday, November 10th between 11:30am and 12:00pm.
The Grand Prize includes:
- Round-trip flights for a family of up to 4
- 2-night hotel stay for a family of up to 4
- 4 rink-side seats to Disney On Ice presents Princesses & Heroes
- A backstage character meet-and-greet
- A $1,000 Disney Store shopping spree experience – fit for a Princess and/or Hero
Speaking of shopping at the Disney Store, while we were in Las Vegas last week we happened to be the first people to visit the Disney store in the morning. What I didn’t know was that the first visitor is given the special magical key to open the store for the day. Such a fun opportunity plus they gave our son his own mini version of the key so he can unlock magic wherever he goes. Adorable, right?!
New Episodes of Sofia The First:
Can’t get enough of Disney’s newest little princess? Then you’ll be happy to hear about two new episodes of Sofia The First airing on Sunday October 20th & 27th at 11:30am ET. This sounds like a great reason to plan a mini tea party!
