This Cute Lunch Ideas post is courtesy of our contributor Michelle…Summer is officially over for us. My two oldest sons went back to school the first week of August. Talk about a whirlwind summer – we can’t help but feel robbed! My youngest son, however, is getting ready to go to preschool in the coming weeks and I’m not taking it too well. He started to walk at 8 months and ever since then he has been little Mr. Independent. As each birthday passes, I grow sadder at the thought of him growing up. Obviously, I don’t want him to be a baby forever but it’s just so hard to see my little one grow up so fast.

Cute Lunch Ideas:

Like most moms, I prefer to pack my son’s lunches to ensure he receives a healthy meal. My son’s favorite lunch is a crustless all natural peanut butter sandwich with wheat bread, fresh fruit, a Del Monte fruit cup and occasionally a fruit snack or small bag of cheese crackers. When my older boys were preschoolers, I’d include little notes in their lunch bags. Sometimes I send a sticker or two, a drawing or a photo of us being goofy. This time around, I decided to create Monster Stickers with little notes to put on my little guy’s beloved Del Monte fruit cups. Even though he is too young to read, I know he will appreciate his favorite little Monsters joining him in preschool. He does after all have two loves, anything school related and monsters. He is very excited about going to school like a “big boy” and I have a strong suspicion that I will need more encouragement on his first day of preschool than he will.
