These Chex Mix recipes are the perfect snacks to gobble up during the awards show. We have both a sweet recipe and a salty recipe so you’ll have something for all taste buds. How many of the Oscar nominated movies have you watched? I’m a bit behind right now so I haven’t watched any yet. There’s still time though as the Oscars are on March 2nd this year.

What is your favorite part of the Oscars? Watching the gorgeous fashion on the red carpet? Watching the reactions from stars as they win? Hearing the acceptance speeches? Laughing at the jokes from the host? The host this year is Ellen Degeneres so I know there will be a lot of great comedy!

Chex Mix Recipes – Salty:

Do you like snack mixes packed full of flavor with a bit of a kick? Then you’ll love this Red {Hot} Carpet Chex Mix! Be sure to have a lot of beverages around for this snack mix as it is spicy. If you can’t find the jalapeno cheddar salt listed in the recipe (I found it at our local bulk food store), then you can substitute 1 tablespoon of dry ranch dressing and 2 tablespoons of cheddar powder for a Rootin’ Tootin’ Cowboy Mix.

If you read the latest gossip magazines while standing in line at the grocery store, you’re probably well-informed about the love lives of Hollywood celebrities. Some Hollywood couples have been together longer than I’ve been around and others have lasted only hours. This Hollywood Sweetheart Chex Mix recipe is dedicated to all those Hollywood celebrities that show us that true love in Hollywood is possible!

Hollywood Sweethearts Game:

How well do you know the Hollywood love matches? In this fun & free printable game, you simply match up the famous couples between the two columns. Some of these couples have been together for many years and others may not still be together…depending on which gossip magazine you read. To play, look at the names in the first column and try to match them to their sweetheart in the second column.
