BBQ season has officially arrived! With the amount of snow we had this winter, I was starting to doubt that spring weather was on the way. You know what BBQ season means? Backyard parties! A fun buffet idea for a summer get-together is a Burger and Fry Bar. Basically you cook a few different varieties of burgers and fries then load the buffet up with burger toppings and fry dipping sauces. You’ll find all the details, including menu ideas, in my latest article for Pink Magazine but I’ll share all the photos with you here plus free printables. Let’s get started!
Burger and Fry Bar:
I went with a retro diner style setup for this party with black, white, red and silver plus metal and wooden serving trays. The mason jars can be found at any home entertaining store (even lots of grocery stores) and the metal trays I usually find at Home Sense or Michaels craft stores.
I prefer to set up my buffets indoors to keep out the bugs and to keep foods at the right temperature. It’s easier to keep food cool when you’re displaying it indoors. You definitely don’t want toppings like mayo left out in the hot sun.
To help you with your menu display, we have free printables for you! We’ve included two blank menu pages so you can write in your burger, bun, cheese, toppings, dips and fry varieties. We’ve also included the Burger & Fry Bar sign. The cute images included on the printables are courtesy of Pixel Pine Clipart.
