We’ve all heard the term “Bun in the Oven” when referring to a pregnancy. It’s a cute way to refer to the bundle of joy on the way. It also makes a delicious theme for a baby shower! These Bun in the Oven Baby Shower ideas are very easy to put together and it’s a hit with guests of all ages and gender.
Bun In The Oven Baby Shower – Decorations:
The great thing about decorating for a Bun in the Oven theme is that all the decorations you need are already in your kitchen! Instead of placing flowers in a vase, use wire whisks, wooden spoons and a rolling pin. Instead of a paper banner, lay a cute tea towel in the middle of the table. Fancy serving trays are always great for displaying baking but for a Bun In The Oven theme you could even just use baking cooling racks or cookie trays. If you have a chalkboard at home, you could use this to make a menu sign for the party.
Bun In The Oven Baby Shower – Food:
You don’t have to be a baker to put together a delicious buffet for the party. You’ll have a large variety of baking to choose from at your local grocery store or farmer’s market. Some food ideas include:
- cookies
- cinnamon buns
- buns or scones with jam
- mini donuts
- cupcakes
- strudel
- danishes
- tarts
- pie
- banana (or other fruit) bread
- brownies
- cake
- squares
- cream puffs

Activities for this party theme can be as simple as a dessert tasting with a large buffet of treats.
