This post was written by our blog contributor Carolyn…A group of moms, myself included, had the opportunity to try three Aveeno products for two weeks and share the results with each other and you! We tried Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream & Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Creamy Wash on our children. Since all moms deserve a treat too, we also tried the Aveeno Positively Ageless Skin Strengthening Body Cream on ourselves! We each filled out a questionnaire and the results were pretty similar across the board!
Aveeno Baby:
We all look for similar things when choosing products for our own bodies as well as our children’s skin – scent and ingredients were among them. The Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Creamy Wash and Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Moisture Cream were fragrance-free and sensitive enough for an array of skin issues our children faced including eczema and dry skin due to the Canadian wintery conditions! The thick consistency of the natural colloidal oatmeal was not expected, but provided instant relief for irritated skin and a non-greasy layer of moisture plus it felt great on my legs after shaving!
My son has personally suffered from sensitive skin and eczema for most of his life and besides his medicated cream, not much has improved the condition of his itchy dry skin. So far, Aveeno has proved to be different! After a few days of using the creamy wash and five applications of the moisture cream the eczema rash on his face cleared up considerably and the itchiness on his legs lessened as well!
Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Ageless:
Using the Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Ageless Skin Strengthening Cream was a welcoming addition to the rare moments I get as a mom to take care of myself! Another mom said she “liked the smooth moisturized feeling that lasted a long time.” The ageless factor also appealed to us aging gracefully moms!
Four out of five moms tested would recommend the products to friends and family right now. The other mom would need a longer trial period but “[does] not discourage using it”.
I’m yet to find a long time favourite product, but after two weeks of using the Aveeno products on myself as well as my son, I’ll continue using them to see the long term changes it will make on my aging skin and my son’s sensitive skin!
