Winter is coming so my wardrobe has been getting some updates over the last few weeks. Although I’m hesitant to put away those comfortable summer sandals, I have to accept the fact that the cool weather is here to stay. As I’m sure you already know, Mark’s is Canada’s #1 retailer for jeans (every pair of jeans I own is from Marks) but did you know they also have a large selection of both outerwear and footwear for men & women too? My flip flops have been packed away until next year so I made a trip to Mark’s to find some stylish & comfortable boots for myself plus a winter coat for my mom because she’s long overdue for an updated look. With great deals on at Mark’s, I was able to buy something for both of us while staying within my budget.

Mark’s Jackets for Women:

I was surprised at how many jackets Mark’s had to choose from! They have a wide variety of outerwear styles, sizes, colours and prices to help you choose something that’s right for you. Whether you’re looking for a warm jacket for outdoor adventures or something stylish to wear to work, you’ll find plenty to choose from at Mark’s. Here are a few of my favourites.

Marks Outerwear

1. Columbia Sleet To Street Interchange 3-In-1 Winter Jacket
2. FarWest Oilskin Winter Coat
3. WindRiver HD2 Water-Resistant T-MAX Winter Parka
4. FarWest 3-In-1 Winter Parka

All of these styles are easy to care for because you can wash them at home – no dry cleaning required. They all have lots of pockets for holding all those winter extras like mittens and tissues. Every time I borrow a jacket from my mom I find at least 10 old tissues in the pockets!

Both of the 3-in-1 styles have a water-repellant outer jacket with a zip-in liner. You can wear both the shell and liner together on the cold winter days or use just the shell as a jacket or just the liner as a jacket when the weather warms up a bit. Multiple styles in one!

I chose the Columbia jacket for my mom because I love how lightweight it is. All the warmth of a winter jacket without feeling too bulky. I’ve had a Columbia jacket of my own for a few years and my mom has mentioned that she’d like to buy one for herself one day. With a great deal at Mark’s last week (spend over $150 on a winter jacket and receive an instant $50 rebate to use on anything else in the store), I was able to buy a jacket for her and some new boots for me while staying within my budget!

Marks Footwear for Women:

I love shoes and boots but I’m pretty picky when choosing the right style for me. They have to look good, be priced right and be comfortable. With the large selection at Mark’s, I had no problem finding more than one pair of boots that I wanted to take home but I had to narrow my choice down to one. I chose the Denver Hayes Abigail Strappy Low-Cut Ankle Boot because they’d look great with any type of pants or a dress with winter tights. The leather-look strap is a stylish accent and the rubber outsoles make me feel confident that I won’t be slipping outside when the sidewalks are covered with ice.

In the photo above, I’m wearing jeans from Mark’s with the Denver Hayes Zip Front Hachi T-Shirt (currently clearance sale priced).

Some of my other favourite boots from Mark’s were:

Mark's Footwear

1. Denver Hayes Women’s Wesley HD2 Low Wedge Ankle Boot
2. Denver Hayes Women’s Ivy HD2 Chelsea Boot
3. Denver Hayes Women’s Ivy HD2 Chelsea Boot
4. Denver Hayes Women’s Faith Over-The-Knee Riding Boot
5. Denver Hayes Women’s Bridgette HD2 Mid-Cut Boot
6. Denver Hayes Women’s Bridgette HD2 Mid-Cut Boots

That’s just a small peek at the selection of footwear you’ll find at Mark’s. I was pleasantly surprised at the large selection! Whether you’re looking for something to keep your feet warm during the winter or something stylish you can wear inside the office, Mark’s has plenty for you to choose from.
