You’ve heard of the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta (Canada), right? Of course you have! How could you not know about the ultimate family vacation destination! With a massive indoor waterpark, amusement park, loads of shopping, an indoor skating rink, the Fantasyland Hotel, and so much more – it’s no wonder why it’s a part of so many family travel plans this summer. My son and I were there just over a week ago and we had the opportunity to check out some of the Luxury Themed Rooms inside the Fantasyland Hotel. Wow! Were we ever impressed! We got to tour the Sports Luxury Room, the Truck Luxury Room, and the Western Luxury Room but there are so many other cool themes you’ll want to check out on their website (Hollywood, Canadian Rail and much more). Here I’ll give you a sneak peek at the luxury themed rooms that we visited. The experience starts as soon as you get off the elevator with each floor having a different designed hallway. I love how they pull all the themes together for a truly unique experience. All of the luxury themed suites are 40% larger than a standard themed room and they are all corner suites.
Truck Luxury Themed Room:
My son loves everything to do with trucks, cars, planes and trains so I knew he’d love this room! The bed is in the back of a pickup truck and yes – you can sit inside the truck and pretend to drive it! The room also has a couple of bunk beds, cool traffic lights and a luxurious jacuzzi tub.
Sports Luxury Themed Room:
This is the ultimate room for sports fans! With cool football-themed beds, a basketball net, a TV for watching the game, hockey net and the large jacuzzi tub, this room is perfect for family travel, a bachelor party or for watching a big playoff game!

Western Luxury Themed Room:
This room is great for your little cowboys and cowgirls! It has an old western feel to the room with a wooden carriage bed, bunk beds, an oversized jacuzzi tub, and other special touches to make you feel like you’re in the wild west.
Visit the Fantasyland Hotel website for a listing of all the themed rooms, room availability, prices and deals. I’ve been told that the Space Luxury Room is really unique but we weren’t able to check it out when we were there. I guess that means we need another trip back soon! I know my son is ready to go back for another West Edmonton Mall experience. There are so many fun themed rooms to check out in the Fantasyland Hotel. We stayed in the newly renovated Igloo Room – check it out here! *Disclosure: I was compensated for this post; however, all opinions expressed here are my own.
