My son absolutely loves playing with cars. He loves racing them with a loud “Vroom”, lining them up for his own little auto show, and racing them down the tracks. When I was approached to write about the exciting Hot Wheels Track Builder Challenge, I knew this was a job that my little racer would be eager to help me with. Simply upload a photo of it to the Hot Wheels Track Builder Challenge website and you could win an amazing Hot Wheels prize pack. You can enter a new track every day up until the end of the contest period – August 31st, 2014.
What exactly is this amazing prize that you could win? The winner will have an opportunity to invite friends over for their own hosted Track Park. Wow! I’m sure you know of several kids that would love a party like this! There are also nine Hot Wheels Prize Pack Runner-Up prizes each with a retail value of $100. Awesome, right?
Our Design & Play Date:
We were so excited to start building with all our supplies. We received several cars and track sets along with connectivity pieces so we could use our creativity to set up our personally designed track.
One of the great things about these track sets is how creative you can be with them. Let your little engineers take it apart, connect various ramps and tracks together, maybe start it on the coffee table and race down the living room track…the possibilities are really endless. Even my husband and I kept redesigning our own tracks to play with!
Your child can test out different cars on the ramps to see which ones go faster. Did you know that Hot Wheels has a speedometer? Oh my goodness, I was so excited when I saw this! This piece is my son’s favorite. He loves racing the cars down the ramp and then checking on their speeds as they race by. It’s totally cool!
The 5-Lane Tower Starter Set allows you to launch 5 cars at once simply by pressing down on one handle. That’s right, race 5 cars at the same time!
Monster vs. Monster Trucks! The Monster Jam Maximum Destruction Battle Playset has a huge figure that spins with grasping claws. My husband was playing with this one and I thought he broke it when he knocked over the monster. Little did I know, that’s part of the game!
After we had fun putting our track together, we invited some friends over for a mini Hot Wheels Track Builder Challenge Party. Be sure to check out all of the fun and easy ideas that you can try at home as well! My son and his little guests worked together to take pieces apart, rebuild them and race their cars. They had a lot of fun!
