There’s nothing I enjoy more than watching my little boy experience the joy of learning. He’s 17 months old now so he’s at a curious age where he wants to know how everything works, where every door leads and what’s inside every cupboard.
He honestly amazes me every day as he learns new skills. I’ve been trying to teach him where his nose is for a few weeks now but each time I say, “Where’s your nose?” he points at his hair. He laughs each time he does it so there’s a strong possibility that he’s teasing me. Isn’t it amazing at how early they can start to play tricks on you?
We recently received two toys to review from Fisher-Price®. We were both excited to open the boxes and start building! The first toy we opened was the Little People® Wheelies™ Loops ’n Swoops Amusement Park™. Just from the picture on the box I knew this toy was going to be a hit! One of the exit ramps has a red button on it that plays fun sounds as the cars exit the roller coaster ramps. Even as I was building the toy, my son was carrying around the exit ramp, pushing the button and dancing.
My son was still so impressed by the music playing exit ramp that he didn’t realize all of the other fun ways he could use this toy. After a short demonstration from me, he understood right away how to use the toy and kept putting the cars in the top and watching them race down the ramp. There is also a loop-the-loop ramp with a push button start. Each time the car raced down the loop-the-loop, he’d start clapping and chasing after the car to try it again. Yep, this toy is certainly a big hit!
The Little People® Wheelies™ Loops ’n Swoops Amusement Park™ requires three AA batteries. I’m sure you always have a large supply of toy batteries at home if you are a parent! This toy is over two feet tall and includes two Wheelies™ vehicles. The suggested retail price is $64.99.
The second toy we received was the Stand-Up Ballcano™. This toy includes six colorful balls that erupt over the sides of the base to keep baby’s attention and encourage standing. The center of the toy has a yellow base that rises once the baby bats the roller. The balls then roll down one of the three bases. This toy has colorful lights with music and sounds to keep baby entertained. My little guy is a dancer so each time the music starts, his eyes light up and he starts dancing. I just adore that smile he gets anytime he hears music!
This is a great toy for encouraging your baby to pull up and stand. Although my son has been standing on his own for a while now, this toy helps him understand cause and effect with the rewarding sounds and lights. He can see that when he puts the balls in the top of the Stand-Up Ballcano™ and bats the roller that it causes the music to start and the balls start erupting. As soon as he sees that he did it correctly, he starts clapping and dancing along with the music. The Stand-Up Ballcano™ requires four AA batteries. The suggested retail price is $49.99.
He is now experimenting with using the two toys together. He has discovered that the balls from one toy can roll down the ramp of the other. He is always discovering new ways to play and use his creativity.

My boys are 3 and 4 but they would still love to play with the Amusement Park!! They are such huge car fans it is crazy! And for the looks of it your little man had a blast helping you with the review!! And, did you take a video of your son dancing with the ramp?!
Oh, I totally should have taken a video of him dancing!
I wish they had great toys like this when my were little!
