How Often Do You Clean Your Dishwasher?

My mom had a dishwasher for years that didn’t wash dishes at all. I don’t mean it didn’t wash dishes well – I mean that it didn’t even turn on. For some reason she kept it and used it as a dish drying rack for years until my dad, being the romantic that he is, purchased her a new dishwasher for their last anniversary. I honestly don’t know how I’d manage without a dishwasher! We go through a lot of dishes everyday with a toddler that loves snacking and all of the party food I prepare for blog posts on Moms & Munchkins. How many of you rinse your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher? I admit that I’m a little lazy with this and it shows when my dishes come out of the dishwasher covered in baked on food particles. I then have to scratch off those food particles and put the dishes back into the dishwasher. As the popular catchphrase goes…ain’t nobody got time for that!
