This Share a Coke with Family Movie Night post is courtesy of our contributor Michelle…My oldest son is 14 years old and has loved anything Star Wars since he was 3 years old. Since summer is the time for movies and family fun, we decided to have a Star Wars Movie Marathon this past weekend.
I set up a quick and easy table for all the goodies to set the theme. Using items we had around the house, I set up our popcorn machine, movie posters, movie trays from one of our past parties and some of the décor from our movie room.
I made a run to Walmart and discovered Coke had new personalized Share a Coke bottles. Although, I couldn’t find any of our names on the bottles, I was happy to see some with “FAMILY” on them.
The 20 ounce plastic bottles fit perfectly in our lap trays from the local movie theatre.
I also grabbed several theatre size boxes of candy for us all to share.
I had some popcorn boxes and bags in my party supply stash and added paper straws to the bottles with movie themed washi tape to add extra flair.

On July 6th, 2014 there will be a Nationwide Share a Coke Event at Walmart stores. People can bring their families and friends and enjoy the sharing of a Coke. My sister-in-law loves Coca-Cola memorabilia and would love to go to the event to find a coke with her name on it. I encourage all Coke lovers to visit Nationwide Share a Coke Event at Walmart.
If I had movie nights like that I’d never want to go to the movie theater. I’m coming over next time you have one! 🙂 #client
So cute! My boys absolutely love movie nights and this would be so fun for them to do with friends and family for their birthdays! It would be so much more economical than taking everyone to the theater and it is so personal. Fun ideas and thanks for sharing!
