This Dynamite Party Favors post is courtesy of our contributor Chantelle of Dolled Up Design…Candy is an essential part of most treat bags and it doesn’t take much to dress up a standard pack of candy to coordinate with any party theme. With a little creative thinking and repackaging, you can transform inexpensive treats kids know and love into delightful party favors.
Dynamite Party Favors:
I recently hosted my son’s 7th birthday at the movie theater where he and his friends got to see the new Batman Lego Movie. It was such a fun and quirky movie that I knew I had to come up with some unique party favors to send home with our guests.
I ended up picking up some Lifesaver’s candy on clearance after Christmas thinking they would work well for treat bags. Once I finally nailed down our party theme, I started thinking about how I could transform the candy and realized they were the perfect shape to make into sticks of dynamite.
To make my sticks of dynamite, I simply removed and measured the Lifesavers candy labels and designed and printed some simple new red and black labels of the same size. Get my free Dynamite Candy Favors printable labels here.
After cutting my labels out, I used double sided tape to attach a small piece of twine to the inside, and then wrapped and secured my new labels around the candy rolls. The twine sticking out the top helped complete the look by becoming the fuse.
The sticks of dynamite looked great with the chocolate money and Lego minifigures I included in our “loot” bags. To make it look more like the authentic Lego sticks of dynamite, you could even tie or tape 3 of these rolls together.
These dynamite party favors would work great for any superhero, spy, and Minecraft themed party, or would even make fun Valentine’s treats with a cute “You’re Dynamite!” tag.
