Does your little one know the secret song to open Jake’s team treasure chest? Does she have her own Big Book of Boo Boo’s? Does she dream of living in the Kingdom of Enchancia? Does he have a special Hot Dog Dance that can’t be beat? Then you’re going to want to check out Disney Junior Live on Stage in the Disneyland Resort!
We’re huge fans of Disney Junior Canada and we absolutely loved the Disney Junior Live on Stage show. If you are in Disney California Adventure with your young children, this is one show that I’d highly recommend seeing. It’s full of many of the characters little ones know and love plus it’s packed with fun songs, interactive activities and special effects. I don’t want to tell you about the entire show here – it’s best if you experience it yourself in person – but I will tell you a bit about why we loved it so much.
Disney Junior Live on Stage – Location:
The Disney Junior Live on Stage show is located in Disney California Adventure Park in Hollywood Land (just past Buena Vista Street). When you first arrive at the park, grab one of the Entertainment Times Guide to check the theatre location and showtimes. There are usually multiple showtimes throughout the day so you can schedule this around the other special attractions you want to see at the park.
When you’re ready to see the show, simply join the lineup outside the theatre which has a shaded area and televisions for the kids to watch while you wait for the theatre to open. You cannot bring strollers into the theatre but there is stroller parking by the theatre entrance.
There are a few seating areas in the theatre but most of the seating is on the floor. You are welcome to bring in your diaper bags, sippy cups and cameras. When selecting a place to sit, be sure you give yourself enough room to get up and dance along with the show.
Disney Junior Live on Stage – Characters:
On March 22nd, the latest edition of Disney Junior Live on Stage opened. It now includes characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First, Doc McStuffins and Jake & The Never Land Pirates. These are all characters that my son watches at home on Disney Junior Canada so I knew he’d be excited to see them in a live show. When Stuffy first appeared on the stage, my son wanted to run up the stage to give him a big hug so he had to quickly grab him before he stole the show!
Disney Junior Live on Stage – Show:
While waiting inside for the show to start, there are Disney Cast Members there to help get the kids excited for the start of the show. You’ll do a few stretches (always handy before dancing!) and a few practice cheers before the show begins.
The show includes fun dancing and special effects that your little ones are sure to love. Even my husband and I were dancing and singing along! Here’s a fun moment of dancing with Doc McStuffins and her favourite toys.
One of the fun moments from the show was when Sofia the First and Cedric made it snow right in the theatre. I bet you didn’t think you’d see snow in Disneyland but I have the video to prove it!
Another fun moment was when all the little ones went wild to pop the bubbles during the Doc McStuffins part of the show.
There was also a fun moment when gold doubloons started falling from the sky. There were quite a few little ones excited to catch some of this treasure!
We absolutely loved every moment of the show and all three of us had fun singing and dancing along. This is a must see for all of your little Disney Junior fans!
