Cupcakes and Milk Party

Have you started planning any holiday parties yet? Here are some fun ideas for hosting a Cupcakes and Milk Party perfect for a party for kids or a ladies night.

I recently reviewed a cookbook called 150 Best Cupcake Recipes that’s filled with delicious recipes for both cupcakes and frosting. Click here for a few recipes (the Cookies & Cream Buttercream Icing is my favorite).

Your Cupcakes and Milk Party could include cupcakes that are already prepared and frosted for your guests your you could supply a variety of cupcakes along with different types of icing and mix-ins (like cookies, chocolate coated candies, fruit, etc.). This could be set up as a cupcake & icing buffet so guests could make their own creations. A fun idea is to bake cupcakes a little smaller than usual so guests can indulge in a few different creations without the guilt! I was recently given some cupcake liners and paper straws to review from Sweets & Treats Boutique. I’ve been wanting to try paper straws for a while now but I haven’t been able to find them at a party store in my city. They look so cute and I’ve been curious to know how the paper straws hold up after sitting in liquid. Now I know that they stay strong while sitting in liquid. Not only are they great in drinks like milk but they also make adorable sticks for cake pops. I know I’ll be ordering a lot more of these in the future!

I also tried some greaseproof baking cups that are designed not to fade after baking. Have you ever purchased adorable cupcake liners only to have them come out of the oven faded and greasy after baking? You won’t have that problem with these greaseproof baking cups. I gave them the ultimate test with chocolate cupcakes and they still came out bright after baking in the oven. These would work well for a cupcakes and milk party.
