Do you go camping in the spring and summer? What are your favourite foods to pack for your camping adventures? Marshmallows for s’mores? Hot dogs to roast over the fire? How about eggs on the BBQ? Yes, eggs on the BBQ! This is such a clever idea! Over on Eggs.ca you’ll find instructions for Grilled Fried Eggs and they take just 5 minutes to make. A really easy breakfast idea and so much healthier than those mini boxes of cereal my mom used to pack in our camper.
Why are eggs a smart choice for breakfast?
- They are so quick & easy to make even on your busy mornings!
- An egg provides 14 important nutrients – you have to love food that is both healthy & delicious!
- Two Canadian Grade A eggs are equal to 1 serving of your recommended daily meat/meat alternatives according to Canada’s Food Guide.
- With 6 grams of high-quality protein in each large egg, it’s a great way to fuel your body before your busy day begins.
BBQ Breakfast Sandwiches:
We weren’t camping this past weekend but we were enjoying breakfast from the BBQ! These breakfast sandwiches are really easy to make. Simply start with the Grilled Fried Eggs recipe, cook sausage patties on the grill, put the cooked egg and sausage on an English muffin and you’re all done!
I add cheese to mine as well. I love potatoes with eggs in the morning so I served our BBQ breakfast sandwiches with garlic ranch potatoes. Dad would love this breakfast on Father’s Day!
