How To Make Beach Cupcakes:
I’m a big cupcake fan…easy portions and no kids arguing over who got the bigger piece. Plus, the decorating possibilities are endless and since I can’t make cakes, I love to have fun tricking mine out.
While browsing my local craft store, I came across these adorable, miniature sand pails and knew they would be perfect summer cake and cupcake toppers.
I love using floret baking cups from Bake It Pretty for cupcakes, they stand on their own with no need for a muffin pan. After frosting, finish them off by sprinkling crushed graham cracker ‘sand’ and stick in a drink umbrella.
How easy are these? These are guaranteed to bring a few giggles to your next soiree.

They have got to be the cutest – and most amazing – cupcakes ever seen! I’m pinning this to my birthday party ideas board. I’m hosting a summer themed link party this week and it would be great if you’d come by and link this one up.
Wow – these look great!
Can you think of a UK equivalent for Graham Crackers..?
Sorry, I’m not sure if I know a UK equivalent. Any type of crushed cookies in that golden color would work though.
These are just too cute!!! We love to have fun themed cupcakes at our various co-ops … I will definitely have to include these soon. Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing at this week’s Thoughtful Spot!
Those are the cutest cupcakes ever! I never would have thought to use graham crackers to create sand but they are perfect. Thanks for sharing. 😀
I love the mini sand buckets! Which craft store can I find them at?
Hi Candie,
I too would love to know which craft store has these. Cheryl, can you let us know?
Hello! Dawn found these in the miniature section of her local Michael’s craft store.
