This Thanksgiving Meal Checklist post is courtesy of our contributor Dawn of Revel and Glitter. Ahh…. Thanksgiving is a close second to Christmas for my favorite holidays! I’m excited to share a roundup of my favorite recipes and my free printable Thanksgiving meal checklist download. Every year, I love shopping for our turkey and all the fixings. A checklist is something that I MUST have so I don’t forget a thing and it makes meal-planning easier.
Thanksgiving Meal Checklist:
This Thanksgiving meal checklist is a base of items from standard Thanksgiving recipes and there is room to write in additional items you may use. Those nice, big margins are for you to doodle in things not to forget like oven bags for cooking the turkey and candles.

Now that you have your checklist, we need a few recipes to inspire and plan our dinner menu! There are so many variations on classics. I love mixing my old recipes with new versions and try to introduce something new every year, even if it is just updating with a new spice or technique.
A few bowls of Pumpkin Spice Almonds are perfect for guests to nibble on along with your crudités and other appetizers.
Turkey with Brown Sugar Glaze from Martha Stewart.
One of my favorite recipes, Sour Cream and Ranch Mashed Potatoes. The roasted version is also a fabulous option!
Easy to make and so tasty, my Apple Butternut Squash Soup.
Martha’s sweet potato casserole is close to my mom’s version that I make every year…except I don’t use milk and add brown sugar and cinnamon…and I leave the potatoes in whole pieces. So, I guess, not really…
Thanksgiving just isn’t the same if we don’t have Green Bean Casserole. Lately, we have been obsessed with roasting our green beans, tossed with olive oil and sea salt. Perhaps Ree Drummond’s version with bacon will be this year’s update!
Yes, we are those people who love canned cranberry sauce, slid out of the can, sliced on a plate. You will not convince my family otherwise. But for you purists, check out Delish’s Cranberry Sauce with Pears.
This year, how about putting together a pie bar? I’m sharing a couple of easy recipes and great tips.
Dinner always needs a festive drink! My Ginger Tangerine Lemonade has ginger beer and vodka, the perfect combo of kick and bubbly.
I hope you have been inspired to have a wonderful and food-filled Thanksgiving!
