This post is courtesy of our contributor Kristie…One of my favorite items to shop for at Christmas time are the kids’ stocking stuffers! This year has been a busy year for me – between my day job at a homebuilder and driving the kids to all their activities after dinner, I feel like there has been very minimal time for Christmas shopping. So when I went into Shoppers Drug Mart to grab a prescription this week, I realized how many amazing ideas for stocking stuffer ideas for teenagers they have!
Shoppers Drug Mart had a wide variety of gifts, from great Secret Santa ideas to hostess tokens and loads of stocking stuffer ideas! I figured while I was waiting why not get some of my Christmas shopping finished and marked off the list!
This year my son is 10-years old and my daughter 14-years old and there were lots of tween and teen stocking stuffer ideas at Shoppers Drug Mart! For my son, I ended up picking out the 2014 NHL Yearbook magazine (as we are huge hockey family), a bag of mini-eggs, Christmas Smarties Penguin, Phineas & Ferb Band-Aid box and an iTunes card!
For my daughter, I grabbed her favourite teen magazine – BOP, a bag of mini-eggs, Christmas Aero Penguin, pink nail polish and an iTunes card!
There were so many more ideas to choose from so I ended up just picking up some of their favorite things. Here are some other great ideas for teen & tween stocking stuffer ideas:
- perfume
- make-up
- kids’ books
- small toys
- Calgary Flames (or other sports team) items
- travel size shampoos, conditioners, deodorants, etc. that would be great for your next trip
- chocolate….oh, so much chocolate!
- hair accessories
- snacks
- pedicure or manicure sets
- a large variety of gift cards
While you are there, don’t forget gift bags, wrapping paper and tape.
With so many different gifting options, I have now made Shoppers Drug Mart my new place to buy Christmas gifts. What could be better? There are so many different convenient locations and each store has longer shopping hours than mall hours (some even 24 hours), so there is no need to fight the crowds!
So now the time of truth…have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? Let us know in the comments below.
