This Pineapple Cake Pops tutorial is courtesy of our contributor Deanna …Hey everyone and welcome back to another cake pop tutorial! Did you know August is my birthday month? Everyone is so ready for fall and I’m still grasping onto summer. I thought for the last summery cake pop we could do something that is very very popular right now – pineapples! Lets get started.

Pineapple Cake Pops – What You’ll Need:

  • shaped cake pop dough
  • cake pop sticks
  • parchment paper
  • yellow chocolate
  • orange chocolate
  • brown chocolate
  • green chocolate
  • sandwich baggie
  • scissors

First things first, take some of the green chocolate and melt it inside of a sandwich bag. Snip off the corner. Lay out parchment paper and drizzle the chocolate to make the crown of the pineapple. Set aside to harden.

Next, I combined yellow and orange chocolate – 90% yellow, 10% orange to create the right color for the pineapple. Dip the sticks into the orange-yellow chocolate and into the top of the cake pop.

Once that hardens, dip the entire cake pop into the orange-yellow chocolate and then set it down on parchment paper.

While those cake pops are setting up, pour some of the orange-yellow chocolate into a sandwich bag and add a few pieces of brown chocolate. Mix well. This is what we will be using to create the crisscross lines.

Once your pops are dry, snip a corner of the darker chocolate and drizzle it over the cake pop in crisscross lines. Let that chocolate set.

Using some chocolate, “glue” the green crown to the top of the cake pop and the stick.
