This post is courtesy of our contributor Deanna…I’ve noticed fun lunch boxes are all the rage right now, so I bring you an adorable, fun, and very easy cake pop you can include in your child’s lunch (depending on lunchbox rules at your child’s school). Nothing says “you’re my best friend” like peanut butter & jelly toast cake pops.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Toast Cake Pops – What You’ll Need:
For this adorable project, you’ll need:
- Cake pop dough
- Tan candy melts
- Peanut butter candy melts
- Purple candy melts
- Black candy melts
- White candy melts
- Cake pop sticks
- Cake pop stand or Styrofoam block
Peanut Butter & Jelly Toast Cake Pops – Instructions:
Shape your cake pop dough to resemble a piece of bread. Dip your stick into the tan chocolate and then stick it into the bottom of the bread slice cake pop. Let dry.
Dip your entire cake pop into the tan chocolate tapping off any extra chocolate. Stick into cake pop stand and let dry.
Using your toothpick, grab a glob of the peanut butter flavored chocolate and smear it like you would on a piece of bread. Follow the shape of the cake pop, but don’t go all the way to the edge. Repeat with the purple chocolate on your other cake pop. Let dry.
Dip your toothpick into the black chocolate, get a pea sized amount on there and then plop it towards the bottom for an eye. Add another eye, and draw on a smile. Repeat on all cake pops.
Dip the very tip of your toothpick into the white chocolate, dot both of your eyes in the upper left corner.
There you have it, adorable kawaii style PB&J cake pops!
