This marble cupcake recipe post is courtesy of our contributor Melissa…I find one of the most popular cupcake flavors requested is marble. A mixture of vanilla and chocolate cake that satisfies the chocolate and vanilla lovers alike! I had the hardest time trying to find a technique to combine these two flavors in the small space of the cupcake paper without mixing them together or making a 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 vanilla cupcake. Through trial and error I have found this technique to be the best for a nice swirl of both flavors.

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Place the cupcake liners in the cupcake pans.
Prepare Vanilla and Chocolate Cake Mix according to recipes in separate bowls.
Take two Ziploc bags and fill one with the chocolate batter and one with the vanilla batter.
Snip off a corner of the vanilla bag and fill each cupcake liner 1/4 full.
Set aside the vanilla bag and snip off a corner of the chocolate bag.
Fill the cupcake liners another 1/4 full and then set aside.
Finish with the vanilla bag so the cupcake liners are now 3/4 full.
Then take a toothpick and gently swirl the batters around and then up and down pulling the batter from the bottom to the top. Make sure not to mix the batters together.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
