In March of 2013, we’ll be making our first family trip to Disneyland and Orange County. We’re really excited to introduce my son to Mickey Mouse! He loves all of the Disney characters on TV so I’m hoping he’s just as excited to meet them all in person. Everyone that I know who has made a trip to a Disney Park says it truly is magical so I’m sure we’re going to have an amazing time. I’ll be sure to tell you all about it when we get home!
I’ve never been to Orange County before but I’ve watched a lot of the Real Housewives of Orange County (should I be admitting to that?!) and the area looks gorgeous. I’m really looking forward to visiting some of the beautiful beaches and letting my son dip his toes in the ocean for the first time.
I’m not one to set New Year’s resolutions but I know that I still have a few pregnancy pounds to lose. I like to still call them pregnancy pounds (it just makes me feel better!) but I know that it’s my poor eating habits that are holding me back from losing the extra pounds I’ve put on over the last couple of years.
So, I’m not going to call this a New Year’s Resolution. I’m simply going to call it My Journey to a Healthier Me! I’m not a weight loss blogger but I feel like if I tell you here that I’m making a decision to choose healthier choices then I’ll be more motivated to stick to it!
Journey To A Healthier Me Plan:
So, here’s my plan…no crash dieting, no unhealthy weight loss drugs, no denying myself of the treats I love so much…just simply making healthier choices and eating in moderation. I exercised daily before I became pregnant and I’d really like to get back into that as well.
I’m not going to set myself a numeric weight loss goal. I’m simply setting a goal about feeling better in a bathing suit before our trip to Disneyland and the beaches of Orange County. Then here’s the frightening part for me – when I return from vacation and tell you all about our wonderful trip, I’ll be brave enough to share some beach photos!
