Sausage and Bacon Breakfast Burgers
These Breakfast Burgers are great for brunch or supper! I'd recommend using mild sausage since there are a lot of other spices in this recipe. Depending on the sizes of your burgers, this recipe makes 10-12 burgers.
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • ½ cup bread crumbs (fine)
  • 1 teaspoon dried ground sage
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • bagels (great for a breakfast burger) or buns
  • Topping suggestions: jalapeño havarti cheese, tomatoes, bacon and Philadelphia Whipped Bold Cracked Pepper & Garlic Cream Cheese
  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef & ground Italian sausage with the bread crumbs and all spices. Mix until fully combined.
  2. Form into patties then BBQ until fully cooked (at least 165F internal temperature).
  3. Serve burgers on bagels or buns with cream cheese, jalapeño havarti cheese, tomatoes and bacon.
