Chicken Chili

- 2 pounds ground chicken
- 1 large can crushed tomatoes (around 800ml)
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 1 green pepper, sliced into thin strips
- 3 stalks of celery, diced
- ½ onion, diced
- Sour cream, diced green onions and shredded cheese to garnish
- In a frying pan, cook chicken thoroughly (until browned).
- In a large pot, add crushed tomatoes, chili powder, garlic, beans, celery, mushrooms, green pepper and onion and stir well to mix.
- Set on stove top over low-medium heat.
- Add cooked ground chicken and simmer for 1 hour (with the lid on the pot).
- Serve with sour cream, green onions and shredded cheese on top. Don’t forget the garlic bread for dipping!
