Your kids may not agree that spring cleaning can be fun but we have a way of turning spring cleaning with kids into a party! Yes, a real party with delicious food, music, activities and more. Sounds too good to be true, right? I promise that I wouldn’t lie to you. Here are some fun ways to turn spring cleaning into a party!
Spring Cleaning With Kids:
You can space your spring cleaning out for a week so that you just concentrate on one area a day. If you try to pack too much into a day, everyone may get worn out before the party!
While cleaning, each person can be allowed to pick out one thing in each room that they think would be great for a party. Some examples could be: a pretty dress in the bedroom, a board game in the hall closet, the stereo in the living room…you get the idea.
The real party planning starts when you reach the kitchen! All parties start with a menu, right? While cleaning and organizing the kitchen, you can work together to find one party item in each drawer or cupboard. Some examples: a BBQ recipe in one of your cookbooks, a fancy serving tray in a cupboard, spices on the shelf, a bottle opener for pop, etc.
Throughout the week, you can put these items aside for the party or you can simply write them down on a piece of paper so that you remember.
At the end of the week (with a clean house) you can now concentrate on the party! Yes, I know you just cleaned and you’re worried about making a mess again but trust me – quality time with the family will all be worth it.
With my Smudge-Proof Kitchen, I know I can enjoy planning a party with my family while not worrying about the mess. With their patented Smudge-Proof™ Stainless Steel finish, Frigidaire Gallery® and Frigidaire Professional® stainless-steel appliances have a new anti-smudge technology that resists those sticky little fingerprints and is easier to clean than traditional stainless steel surfaces. Simply use a damp cloth and wipe off the splatters with one wipe!
I’d love to hear what type of party you’d love to plan with your kids? A camping party in the backyard? An indoor beach party for a rainy day? A surprise Father’s Day brunch? Let me know in the comments below.
