Silly Animal Charades

These silly animal charades consist of three free printable games – Famous Cartoon Animals; Animals with Jobs; and Animals Playing Sports. Your family will have a tough time not giggling while trying to act out silly charades like “A Skunk Playing Cricket”. Simply click on the image below to access all three of the free printable games.

Animal Charades Free Printable

Simply print the games, cut out each charade and place the charades in a bucket. Split your group into two teams. Team A chooses an actor to randomly select a charade. The actor then has one minute to get his team to guess the charade. Remember, no talking or props are allowed in charades! If Team A doesn’t guess correctly in one minute, Team B gets one chance at the correct answer in order to win a point. The game continues with Team B selecting an actor for the next round.

I’ve never been a big sports fan. My dad never watched sports and neither of my brothers ever played sports so I guess I wasn’t exposed to a lot of it growing up. My husband is a huge hockey fan though so I’ve been learning a bit from him. If there was a game of turtles playing volleyball or dinosaurs playing basketball, I may be more interested to tune in! Printable Winter Activities

Printable Winter Activities – Charades:

The first game is a winter charades game. This game is filled with charades related to winter activities. There are charades for everything from “slipping on a patch of ice” to “dog sledding”. You can turn on the fireplace and gather your family together for some delicious hot chocolate and this interactive game. Simply print the free printable winter charades, cut out each charade and put them all into a bucket. Team A takes a turn choosing 1 person as an actor. The actor randomly selects one charade and then has a limited amount of time to act it out. If Team A guesses the correct answer, they earn one point. If Team A doesn’t guess the correct answer, Team B gets one try at the correct answer to win a point. The game continues until you run out of charades.

Printable Winter Activities – Word Scramble:

The second game is a winter word scramble. Simply print out this free printable game and have your kids try to unscramble the winter-related words. The answers have been included on the bottom of the printable game.

Printable Winter Activities – Word Search:

The third game is a winter word search. If your kids will be playing both the word scramble and the word search, have them play they word scramble first because the words used in the scramble are the same words used in the word search puzzle. To play this game, simply print the free printable word search and have your children search for the words listed on the bottom of the printable.

New Year’s Games

New Year's GamesDo you go out for New Year’s Eve or do you host a small family party at home? Here are a few ideas for free printable New Year’s Games that the whole family can enjoy.

The first is a New Year’s Eve Word Scramble. We’ve scrambled 10 words commonly related to New Year’s Eve. Simply print this free printable game for your kids and have them solve the puzzle. The answers have been included on the bottom of the free printable.

The second is a New Year’s Eve Word Search. The words to search for are the same words used in the word scramble so if your kids will be playing both games, you’ll want to have them do the word scramble first. Simply print the free printable game and have your kids search for the hidden words and highlight them.

The final New Year’s game is a New Year’s Eve Resolution Charades game. This game is more interactive than the word search and word scramble. All of these charades are resolutions commonly made by people on New Year’s Eve. Simply print the free printable and cut out the charades. You can remove any that you don’t think your kids could act out. Place the charades in a bucket and have both teams take turns selecting an actor and a charade to act out. If your team correctly guesses the right charade, you get one point. If your team does not guess the correct charade, the other team gets one chance to guess the charade to earn one point.

Actor Charades

Are you planning on gathering your best group of mommy friends for a fun night in? This free printable Actor Charades game is a fun addition to a movie night or an awards show party. Click here for the free printable.Actor CharadesSimply print the actor charades, cut out the charades and place them in a bucket. Split your group into two teams. The first team will choose one person as the actor. This person will pick a charade out of the bucket and will quietly think of ideas for acting out this charade. The person will then have 1 minute to act out the charade while her team tries to guess the answer. Remember, no talking or singing in charades! If Team A guesses the correct charade, they earn a point. If not, then Team B gets one guess at the correct answer to earn a point. The game then continues with Team B taking a turn at choosing a team member to act and selecting a new charade out of the bucket.

Trying to think of ideas for acting these out may seem difficult. Here are some tips for acting out these actor charades:

  • Think about movies these actors have been in and try to act out a popular movie title or scene.
  • Does this actor have a signature look (hairstyle, tattoo, etc.)?
  • Does this actor have well known personality traits that you could act out?
  • Has there been any celebrity gossip on this actor that you could act out?
  • Is this actor known for a signature saying?
  • Is this actor married to someone famous that you could add into your charade?

You could also award an added bonus point if the team can name 5 movies this actor has been in within 10 seconds.

Family fun nights are a great way to relax after a busy day. This fun & free printable Disney Charades game is something the entire family can enjoy.

How well do you know the Disney Characters? How good are your acting skills? The great thing about a charades game is that sometimes the worst acting is the most entertaining!

Disney Charades:

Click here for the free printable Disney Charades game. Simply print, cut out the charades (along the dotted lines), fold each charade and place into a bucket.

Your group will split into 2 teams. Team A goes first by picking 1 person to be the actor (the person acting will change after each turn) and that actor randomly chooses 1 charade out of the charades bucket. The actor then has a set amount of time in order to get his/her team to guess the charade being acted out.

If Team A gets it right – hooray – one point! If Team A doesn’t get it right, Team B gets one try at the correct answer. If they answer correctly, they get the one point.

It is now Team B’s turn to choose an actor and a charade. The game continues this way until 1 team reaches 10 points.

This free printable game includes characters from Disney movies (classic & new) and Disney Junior TV characters. I’ve included the name of the movie or TV show each character appears in under each charade on the printable (just a little help for those characters you may not be familiar with). Song Charades

Charades are a great idea for a family fun night! Here are some song charades for a music-themed evening! Song Charades

There are many free printable song charades here to choose from – click here to print! There are some for popular children’s songs, some for current hits and some for guessing the musician.

All of these song charades are kid-friendly so they are perfect for a family fun evening, a child’s music themed birthday party or just a fun way of spending a rainy day indoors.

Setting up a charades game is easy. Simply print one (or all) of these free printable charades games, cut along the dotted lines, and drop all of the charades into a pail.

Split your group into 2 teams. Team A chooses 1 person to be the actor for this round. The actor puts his hand in the bucket and (without looking), selects one charade. The actor then silently reads the charade. A timer starts and the actor has a specified amount of time to get his team to guess the charade. There is no talking or pointing in charades…you can only use your great acting skills.

If Team A doesn’t guess before the timer rings, Team B gets one chance to guess the correct answer. Whichever team gets the right answer wins one point. If neither team gets the right answer, no point is awarded.

It’s now Team B’s turn to choose an actor and pick a charade out of the pail.
