No one wants to spend a lot of time cleaning up after a party. By the time you set up the party, make all the food and entertain the guests, you’re going to want to rest! Here are some quick tips for making party clean up a breeze.
Although it may not be the most economical or environmentally friendly option, using disposable party supplies can save you a lot of time when it comes time for party clean up. Here are some disposable party supplies that you can find at your local dollar store.
- Paper plates
- Plastic tablecloths
- Plastic cups
- Plastic utensils
- Cardboard cupcake stand
- Helium balloons
- Crepe streamer paper (here are some more ideas for inexpensive backdrops for parties)
Another idea that is a simple one yet commonly overlooked is to leave a trash bag out in the party area for guests to use. If guests are putting their trash in the bag during the party, it leaves less for you to clean up after. Don’t forget a trash bag in the area where the gifts will be unwrapped (for wrapping paper).
You’ll also want to designate an area for recycling. A simple trash bag could be designated as the recycling area for plastic bottles and pop cans. This helps you with the party clean up and the environment!
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. This comes in particularly handy when your party is in a rented location and you are limited for set up and party clean up time. Most of your friends and family will be happy to give you a hand.
Renting a party location that already does the set up and party clean up for you (like an arcade or a play place for kids) will save you a lot of time.
